Loved your story. Yesterday I decided to remove some of the I guess older pups that looked like branches. I never read up on things I just have to do something when the mood strikes. I used my reciprocating saw and removed to big like 8″ diameter trunks from the mother ship. there are no roots on these.
So I may be sorry but it needed doing. I am hoping they will survive any hints?
